Comments

“In the early 80’s several of [my brother’s] friends
were in the Police Cadet program in Lafayette. On their
ride alongs they would occasionally here the term ‘NIL’
for Nigger in Lafayette used over the radio… racism
would never be openly tolerated, however it existed
under the wire in these subtle ways.”
