I hope that this helps. I teach at Wilmington College in Ohio, and many of my students have told me that Blanchester, Ohio used to be a “sundown” town. They said that there were signs in town explaining that a black man had to leave by sundown. I don’t know if this was formally codified, however. Good luck with your project Laura Struve
