Message: I grew up in Beechwood Village, a suburb of Louisville, and lived there from 1966 to 1984 when I went off to college, and I returned every so often for another 10 years. To my knowledge, we had no African Americans in this small community. There was an Asian family that I am aware of. Beechwood Village is one of the many incorporated towns in the suburbs of Louisville, KY. We had our own garbage pick up, our own small (one or two people) police force (part time).
