Comments

Tenafly is one of New Jersey’s many boroughs, a type of municipality unique to the state.

Former Tenafly Resident:

remembers the first black family moving in, around 1960. “There was talk” about their being the first. She is sure it was not accidentally all-white prior to that. Not one Black person in the high school when she graduated as of 1966.
