Comments

A local genealogist said there was a sign in West Frankfort during the early 1970s.

On 8/20/1923, 8500 members of the Ku Klux Klan met two miles east of W. Frankfort and inducted 400 new members. (Winifred M. Henson, History of Franklin County, IL (Colorado State College of Education, MA Thesis, 1942), 151.)
