Comments

Although Chehalis appears to have a significant black population, they are overwhelmingly male, and are mostly residents of the Green Hill School, an institution for juvenile offenders.

“Aside from a couple of students with Native American heritage and the children of a few local Jewish merchants, there were no ‘minorities’ in town. I do not even recall any Chinese restaurants there.” -former Chehalis resident
