Comments
In July, 1879, a “mob dragged six members of [the]
Church [of Latter Day Saints] from their homes in
Brasstown, North Carolina, and whipped and clubbed
them. After warning them [not] to provide food and
shelter for the elders, the mob ordered them to leave
the state within four weeks or risk being killed.”
