Comments

Many people remember seeing a sign in the 1920s,
although there is disagreement as to whether or not it
was in the train station or at the city limit. One man
reported having seen it in the 1960s.

A former resident was told there was a sign before he was born and remembers blacks being afraid of going near Bowie.
