Of Simpson’s black population in 1990, one is a 19-year-old and the other two are under the age of 4.

I was told by a local pastor, when I lived there as an Army spouse in 1988-90, that “some of the town’s most upstanding citizens” participated in a “visit” to a black family that had recently moved into town, with the “cordial” invitation to leave.
